Our First Day In The New RV

We have our new RV.  It's a beauty and we couldn't be happier.  This is our first camp site with it. Right across the street from the dealership.  Yep, long trip to start off. Actually, the dealership puts up the new buyers here so that they are nearby to answer any questions that might arise.
This is a view of our kitchen and island.  Notice the fridge with cabinet front. Not what I would have picked, but hey - it'll do.  Sure beats the tiny thing we had in the previous RV.

Buffet, coffee bar, hutch.

The dogs have settled right in.  We find the mattress a bit too firm, but that can be easily fixed. So far, everything works fine and we are having a great time thinking of the future sites we will be visiting.

Here we go!

The life and adventures of a Texan living outside the Lone Star State.

Texas born, Texas raised, left to see what the rest of the world has to offer.

Our first 50 years have been an adventure. Our first apartment was in Worfelden, Germany. We have lived in 6 states in the USA (a couple of them more than once).

While camping back in November 2020, celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary at Jamaica Beach, near Galveston, my husband says "I could do this full-time".  Thinking it would never happen, I replied "sell the house and we can".  Well, a whole lot has happened since that day.  We put the house on the market, BAM five days later we were under contract!

Good thing we had done some intense RV shopping for a larger RV.

We take delivery of our new  Reflection 297RSTS by Grand Design on Feb 4.  Our estate sale is set for Mar 4-6 and then we close on the house sale Mar 8.  After that, off we go on our full-time RV life.

6 month recap of life as a full-time rv'er. Oh what a journey it has been thus far.   We have had some very good days & some very b...
